Job description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees
  • Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules
  • Manage inventory of raw materials and finished product using ERP software
  • Manage employees by training, coaching, counseling and disciplining in a union environment
  • Complete administrative and operational paperwork in order to comply with USDA and FDA regulatory requirements with knowledge of SOP’s, HACCP and GMP policies and programs
  • Use analytical skills to monitor production output and check for compliance to specifications
  • Submit reports on performance and progress
  • Employ critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including ability to spot issues in efficiency/productivity and suggest improvements
  • Ensure the safe use and operation of equipment and call for repairs if necessary

Attendance:

  • Must arrive to work prior to scheduled start time.
  • Must be dressed in proper uniform and PPE before reporting to duty.
  • Participate in scheduled meetings and training programs
  • Adhere to company’s attendance policies.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be physically capable to work in current refrigerated environment conditions.
  • Must be capable to work on the production floor.
  • Must be capable to work the specified shift hours.
  • Must be capable of lifting the minimum weight of 30 pounds.

  • Commit to obtaining knowledge of company’s sanitation procedures and inspection process.
  • Qualify and comply with company’s forklift training and operation policies.
  • Commit to obtaining knowledge of finished product specifications.
  • Commit to obtaining a working knowledge of all production equipment in department
  • Understand and implement safety procedures and policies
