LICENSED VETERINARY TECHNICIAN (LVT) โ€” CLEARVIEW VETERINARY IMAGING
Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 | Full-time | In-person
Compensation: $28 โ€“ $32 / hour

Clearview Veterinary Imaging is a premier outpatient veterinary ultrasound clinic in Saratoga Springs, NY. We work closely with veterinary practices throughout the Capital Region to provide expert diagnostic imaging services. ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Licensed Veterinary Technician to become a core member of our imaging team. This role offers the unique opportunity to develop deep expertise in veterinary ultrasound in a specialty outpatient setting, free from the demands of emergency or general practice.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform patient assessments, triage, and pre-examination preparation
  • Restrain and position patients for ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures
  • Assist with ultrasound-guided procedures including fine needle aspirates and biopsies
  • Monitor patient vitals and wellbeing throughout examinations
  • Perform patient sedation and general anesthesia for short image guided procedures
  • Accurately document patient history, findings, and care in practice management software
  • Communicate results and case updates to referring veterinarians and their staff
  • Maintain imaging equipment, supplies, and sterile technique standards
  • Educate and update clients on patient status throughout appointments
  • Mentor and support veterinary assistants and support staff

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active New York State LVT license required
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program
  • 2+ years of clinical experience in a veterinary setting; imaging or specialty experience a strong plus
  • Proficiency with veterinary practice management software (e.g., Cornerstone, Avimark, ezyVet)
  • Excellent patient handling skills with a calm, confident approach
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
