Veterinary Specialty Hospital North County is growing, and we're looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our incredible team!

Compensation: $22-$28 per hour based on experience and credentials
Schedule: Monday - Friday 5 x 8's
What You'll Do
As a Laboratory Technician, you'll play a critical role in supporting patient care by ensuring accurate, timely diagnostic results.
Your Responsibilities Include:
  • Preparing, calibrating, and troubleshooting laboratory analyzers
  • Processing and running in-house diagnostics including:
    • CBCs
    • Chemistry panels
    • Coagulation testing
    • Urinalysis
    • Blood typing and crossmatching
    • Cultures
    • Cytology and fluid analysis
    • Serology testing
    • Fecal testing
  • Preparing specimens for shipment and managing send-out testing
  • Entering, reporting, and releasing laboratory results
  • Assisting with phone inquiries and add-on testing requests
  • Preparing cultures for plating or shipping
  • Maintaining laboratory equipment, supplies, and biohazard compliance

Required
  • Veterinary medicine experience
  • Previous laboratory experience

Physical Requirements
  • Standing and moving throughout a 10-hour shift
