What We're Looking For:

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience implementing, configuring, and supporting Vertex O-Series in enterprise environments
  • Deep expertise in Vertex configuration, including Tax Assist rules, jurisdictions, rates, exemption certificates, and reporting
  • Experience with extremely high-volume transaction environments
  • Hands-on Vertex configuration for digital services and physical goods tax scenarios
  • Strong experience integrating Vertex with SAP and custom applications
  • Ability to define integration standards, including API contracts, payload structures, error handling, and monitoring
  • Strong engineering background in API design, data mapping, JSON/XML transformations, and secure integrations
  • Experience defining tax data flows, transaction mapping, and reconciliation controls
  • Experience participating in architecture reviews and driving engineering best practices
