At Verizon, we power and empower how people live, work and play by connecting them to what brings them joy. We do what we love — driving innovation, creativity, and impact in the world. Our V Team is a community of people who anticipate, lead, and believe that listening is where learning begins. In crisis and in celebration, we come together — lifting our communities and building trust in how we show up, everywhere & always. Want in? Join the #VTeamLife.

What You'll be doing...

The Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Partnerships Team is responsible for managing key Verizon strategic relationships that serve to connect customers with the content and experiences they love on the nation’s best network.

We oversee strategic third-party relationships across our core portfolio including Perks and Loyalty, sitting at the center of innovation and execution: sourcing opportunities and negotiating with a broad range of entities, including major streamers, tech companies, sports leagues, digital subscription services, gaming platforms, and other emerging verticals. Through Perks, Verizon exists as one of the largest direct-to-consumer platforms in the U.S., and our team owns those relationships as the driver of strategic decision-making. With our newly relaunched Loyalty program, our team is responsible for actively identifying and negotiating the strategic partnerships that serve as the foundation of this customer-focused initiative, powering retention across Verizon.

We are seeking a motivated, strategic thinker and operational powerhouse to join our team as Senior Manager, Business Development. In this role, you will act as a critical force multiplier for our Senior Director / Deal Leads, helping to shape the overarching partnership strategy across Perks & Loyalty while supporting day-to-day business development and partner management for our direct-to-consumer distribution deals (e.g., Netflix, YouTube, Apple, Google, etc.)

The ideal candidate possesses deep media and technology industry knowledge, exceptional internal stakeholder management skills, and a strong analytical mindset. You should be comfortable moving seamlessly between high-level strategic ideation (e.g., evaluating the impact of market news, modeling deal scenarios) and hands-on execution (e.g., deal performance tracking, securing cross-functional alignment).

In this role, you will:

Work side-by-side with the Senior Director and Deal Leads to research, evaluate, and develop partnership strategies across third-party Perks, Loyalty, and other potential emerging verticals.

Help build business cases in the form of senior leader-facing presentations, deal models, and prospective frameworks for deals.

Align internal stakeholders to support the team in presenting a shared vision to external partners.

Meticulously execute all partnership operational requirements including performance reporting, tracking cross-functional deliverables, managing QBRs, and troubleshooting issues alongside our product teams.

Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including Product, Value Proposition, Integrated Marketing, Legal, Finance, and Sponsorships to present a cohesive strategy and ensure seamless execution of commercial commitments.

Align internal stakeholders to present a shared vision to external partners.

Develop high-impact, "consultant-grade" slide decks and executive summaries that clearly articulate market dynamics, strategic rationale, and commercial terms for senior leadership

Ideate around ways to expand and grow existing partnerships, through collaboration with other Verizon BUs.

Champion GRO/DTC Team objectives when working on broader company-wide strategic partnerships.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of relevant work experience

Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

5+ years of experience in business development, corporate strategy, strategic partnerships, or partner management within the media, technology, or telecommunications sectors

Interest in gaining experience in a partner-facing role in support of deal leads managing complex digital distribution, marketing, or licensing relationships

Proven leadership and team management abilities, with experience in strategic planning and change management

Expertise in optimizing content partnerships and managing a portfolio of relationships (preferably in DTC/entertainment/technology)

Demonstrated success in developing and implementing content strategies

Market/customer centric vision knowledge

Knowledge of the media/technology ecosystem

Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment, taking the initiative, prioritizing multiple projects, and working under tight time-frames to meet deadlines

Ability to work in highly complex and matrixed organizations

Experience developing and presenting slide decks to senior executives

High proficiency in developing executive-ready presentations and financial/analytical models in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides, Docs)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

Direct experience supporting deal/contract negotiations for digital services, subscriptions, or loyalty platform integrations

Experience in top-tier management consulting, investment banking, or corporate BD within a major media/tech platform

An advanced Degree (MBA, JD, or Master’s in a related field)

Passion for consumer tech, media trends, streaming, and emerging spaces (such as consumer AI applications and digital marketplaces)

An existing network across media, digital tech, and subscription platform business development leaders

Where you’ll be working

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager. Employees are responsible for maintaining compliance with hybrid work policies.
