Job description

Front Desk Agent

Springhill Suites Orlando Convention Center is seeking an experienced Front Desk Agent. Shifts will be split between Relief Night Auditor and Front Desk Agent to offer full-time hours. Compensation is based on experience. Must have open availability, including holidays and weekends. Company benefits include health, vision, dental, PTO, 401k, employee discount, and much more.

Essential Job Functions

  • Greet guests immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome. Maintain eye contact, use a positive tone, listen actively, and respond appropriately.
  • Use selling techniques to optimize occupancy and rates while ensuring accurate information is provided about hotel facilities.
  • Maintain cash bank per guidelines, follow accounting procedures, handle guest room keys securely, and protect guest information.
  • Coordinate with all hotel departments, stay informed about front office operations, attend meetings, and report concerns to management.
  • Manage guest check-in/check-out efficiently, ensure compliance with safety protocols, and promptly address hazards.
  • Full-time hours available (at least 30 hours per week).
  • Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Shifts will be split between Relief Night Auditor (overnights, 11pm to 7am) and Front Desk Agent to offer full-time hours.

Experience/Education

High school diploma or general education degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Must be able to speak, read, and understand English.
