A VMI Specialist coordinates vendor managed inventory and control activities at the customer site locations. They seek to maximize customer service, satisfaction, and ultimately the availability of Capital Electric products at the point of purchase / warehouse, and add value to the business through speed of service (efficiency) and relationship management (growth).
The VMI specialist is responsible for conducting customer site inventory, and replenishment of material while excelling in customer service. The VMI Specialist is required to communicate with customer personnel as well as with Capital Electric's inside and outside sales team. This role requires the ability to work effectively with Eclipse, and with bar code scanning hardware and software. The VMI specialist must interact with many different departments within Capital Electric including: sales, purchasing, inventory control, logistic and credit.
Job Requirements
  • A clean driving record.
  • Be willing to drive 2+ hours to service customer sites.
  • Be able to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Be willing to work various weather conditions.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Some electrical product knowledge.
  • Eclipse order entry and receiving experience.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Work independently, and be self-motivated.

Salary: $18 - $24 / hour
