Job Description

The Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Manager leads the North America Distributor-Manufacturer Integration (DMI) program, Rockwell Automation's vendor-managed inventory model with its distributor network. This role partners closely with Distributor Purchasing and Operations, as well as internal teams across Operations, Logistics, Customer Care, Sales, and Channel Management, to optimize distributor inventory performance across the supply chain. The VMI Manager drives inventory strategy, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives that improve product flow, visibility, and service levels for Rockwell Automation's distributors.

You will work a hybrid schedule in Milwaukee, WI and will report to the Global DMI Manager.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead the North America Distributor-Manufacturer Integration (DMI) / Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) program in partnership with distributor and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Channel Management, Operations, Logistics, and Customer Care to improve inventory performance, product flow, and service levels.
  • Develop and support finished goods inventory replenishment strategies across the distributor network.
  • Lead distributor performance reviews and support achievement of DMI requirements across North America.
  • Enhance the DMI planning model and partner with the DMI software provider to drive system improvements and optimization.
  • Provide inventory management guidance and process improvements to reduce supply chain and logistics costs.
  • Develop, coach, and manage the North America DMI planning team, including performance management and career development.
  • Collaborate with global DMI program leaders to share best practices and drive program consistency.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Years of Relevant Work Experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • The ability to travel 30% of the time.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years management experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, specializing in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain, operations, inventory, or materials planning, including people leadership experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience leading crossfunctional and multicultural teams in a complex organization.
  • Proven ability to analyze large data sets and translate insights into actionable improvements.
  • Effective communicator with experience engaging distributors, customers, and senior stakeholders.
  • Customerfocused mindset with the ability to balance competing priorities and drive results.
