Job description

Hexcel is currently seeking a Sr. EHS Manager - Governance and Management Systems. Preferred locations include Salt Lake City, Utah, Casa Grande, Arizona, Decatur, AL, or Pottsville, Pennsylvania, but all US-based Hexcel sites will be considered.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

  • Lead the development, integration, and continuous improvement of global EHS management systems, standards, and ISO 14001/45001 certifications.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert and owner for corporate EHS audit programs, including governance, staffing, and maturity reporting.
  • Partner with regional and site leadership to implement safety strategies that improve workplace conditions, safety culture, and injury prevention.
  • Oversee the design, deployment, and performance of the enterprise EHS electronic management system (Cority), including data quality and dashboards.
  • Provide strategic direction for global safety initiatives such as Safety Month, Safety Summits, training, surveys, and compliance reviews.
  • Lead data analysis, trending, and executive-level reporting to drive databased safety improvements and corporate continuous improvement goals.
  • Support facilities in incident investigations, rootcause analyses, and the development of corrective actions and shared learnings.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelors degree in safety/EHS-related technical degree (i.e., chemical, industrial, or mechanical engineering, or environmental science/safety) or analytical degree.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience and knowledge with EHS matters such as environmental, industrial hygiene and process safety risks.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing plant operations, safety cultures and systems, data analysis and risk mitigation techniques and technologies.
  • ISO 14001 and 45001 standards.
  • Travel up to 30% with no travel limitations to any Hexcel operating locations.
  • EHS management systems such as Cority, Intelex, Velocity EHS, etc.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence platforms and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Ability to drive consistency in Hexcel's global safety systems, standards, and procedures, including technical engineering solutions through Hexcel's network of site safety professionals, process engineers and line leadership.
