The Vehicle Operations Supervisor role is a management role with the Hertz Corporation that provides leadership and administrative support to all Vehicle Service Associates (VSA). In this role, you will be responsible for strengthening VSA productivity through improved supervision and workflow management. You are responsible for ensuring objectives are met through team execution of day-to-day tasks utilizing collaboration, delegation, and personal action; to include the KPIs of VSA and Transporter's Productivity.

Paid salary on a bi-weekly basis.

What You'll Do:

  • Host huddles to communicate vehicle priorities and daily goals for employees
  • Ensure the location is set up for success, and the employees have all necessary supplies and cleaning products
  • Support with lot set-up to ensure efficient flow of vehicles throughout the day
  • Observe VSA operations, ensuring that all VSAs are complying with standard procedures and quality of work via random car audits
  • Ensure "Conveyor Belt" VSAs are effectively selecting and transporting vehicles; provide guidance on areas for improvement or shifts in vehicle class priorities throughout the day.
  • Monitor radio for any additional requests for support from Vehicle Ops staff
  • Check daily productivity levels of each employee and highlight strong performance and provide live coaching to poor performers
  • Ensure Clean pumps, lot, storage and supplies as needed; ensure clean and organized Conveyor Belt role to enhance operations
  • Host training for newly introduced standards of work in coordination with Vehicle Ops Managers / GMs and support with onboarding

What We're Looking For:

  • Must be 20 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 4+ years in an operations role, preferably with increased responsibility
  • Working knowledge of operational / maintenance logistics or transportation
  • Must have strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to delegate effectively
  • Must be able to collaborate between interdepartmental teams
  • Must have strong time management skills
  • Must be adaptable and flexible, ability to quickly change direction and focus
  • Must be self-starter with ability to work autonomously
  • Must be able to work in inclement weather outdoors
  • Flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Must be computer literate with strong keyboarding skills.
  • Ability to manage, develop and motivate staff; to include process improvement
