Job description

As a Vehicle Operations Specialist, your primary responsibility is to manage all onsite vehicles including sales inventory, used vehicles, lease returns, and internal fleet in partnership with both on-site and HQ-based teams. The Vehicle Operations Specialist is a critical partner in ensuring the readiness of inventory, flow of vehicle movements, and accuracy of inventory tracking. We prioritize a world-class customer service experience, and our Vehicle Operations Specialist plays a key role in continuing to build upon the Lucid Motors brand through their organization and support of the sales team.

Our ideal candidate has an unwavering commitment to the accurate collection and recording of information and possesses demonstrable interpersonal and communication skills. You are meticulously detailed, well-organized, and understand the critical nature of setting daily priorities.

The Role:

  • Monitor and manage the location's physical vehicle inventory, ensuring inventory vehicles are in ready-to-sell condition and that lots are clean and well organized
  • Conduct lot walks and physical inventory to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Partner with internal allocations team to inform of inventory needs
  • Ensure inventory is well-maintained and appealing, performing software updates, cleaning and charging vehicles as required
  • Partner with internal teams to manage lease return, trade-in and fleet vehicles on-site
  • Coordinate logistics for vehicle movements as required between Lucid facilities and third-party locations
  • Monitor inbound shipments of vehicles from manufacturing or third-party facilities
  • Perform and verify vehicle intake inspection and ensure inbound cars comply with quality standards per Lucid's defined quality intake assessment  
  • Liaise with Service team in case of required repair work 
  • Partner with sales teams on the status of vehicle readiness 
  • Assist with new vehicle deliveries during high volume periods and daily operations as required

Qualifications 

  • 2+ years of professional experience in operations or support role. 
  • Passion for a fast-paced, high-growth environment. 
  • Detail-oriented and focused on providing great experiences by improving efficiencies. 
  • Self-starter and quick thinker with high attention to detail who thrives in ambiguous and rapidly changing situations. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to relentlessly prioritize. 
  • Willingness to be hands-on with all vehicle operations. 
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends in a retail environment 
  • Valid driver's license with no suspensions within the past year.   Drivers under 21 must have maintained a Driver's License for a minimum of 3 years and successfully complete Lucid Training upon hire
  • Physical requirements include the ability to twist, bend, squat, reach, and stand for extended periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation 

Preferred:  

  • Proficiency with Salesforce or other CRM. 
  • Prior experience in the automotive sector. 
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent experience in business, marketing or related discipline
