GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Delivery Driver is responsible for delivery of miscellaneous product, loading and unloading delivery truck, and picking up product from vendors.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty at a satisfactory level.   • Deliver miscellaneous product to customers
  • Pick up and deliver products to and from vendors as needed
  • Safely operate all type of equipment/trucks and adhere to hazardous and CDL regulations
  • Perform pre and post trip inspections of equipment and communicate issues to Operations Manager
  • Transport trucks to and from maintenance facilities for service as needed
  • Contribute to building a quality work environment at the Company by taking initiative, respecting others, and being a team player. Following the policies and procedures in the Company handbook. Using good communication by listening and sharing information to enable others to do their jobs effectively. Use proper language and etiquette, set a good example and treat the customer with respect and appreciation. Exceed Expectations.
QUALIFICATIONS
The employee must have demonstrated experience and/or education as outlined below in order to satisfactorily perform the essential job duties and responsibilities. Qualifications may include, but are not limited to:
  • Must have Class A CDL and a clear driving record. Hazmat Certification and Tanker Endorsement required to be obtained within first 60 days.
  • Requires a high school diploma with 3+ years experience driving vehicle types (48-foot length semi).
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret delivery invoices.
  • Ability to effectively and professionally present information and respond to questions from customers, managers and other employees.
  • Ability to operate a computer, work with minimal supervision, follow directions, and work under pressure.
  • Fork-lift certified.
  • Follow DOT requirements including electronic log completion.
  • Ability to use GPS system and have good organizational skills.
  • Must be detail oriented, reliable, and focused on accuracy.
  • Assist with other departments as needed: receiving, shipping, warehouse and maintenance
  • Other duties as assigned

The Physical Demands and Working Conditions of this job may require the employee to perform the following physical activities during the course of work. Schedule for week one:
Monday: day off
Tuesday-Wednesday: overnight trip to SE Wisconsin (route 515)
Thursday - Friday: overnight trip to South Dakota (route 15)
Schedule for week two:
Monday - day off
Tuesday- Wednesday: overnight trip to Iowa (route 530)
Thursday: day trip to Mankato area (route 14)
Friday: day trip to MN & WI (route 1)
