The menu typically focuses on plant-based ingredients such as vegetables, fruits, grains, legumes, nuts, and dairy products. Some vegetarian restaurants may also offer vegan options, which exclude all animal-derived ingredients. These restaurants cater to people who follow a vegetarian diet for health, ethical, or environmental reasons.
