The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) organization is seeking a Principal System Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and sustainment of advanced missile defense radar technologies. This role spans system development, requirements management, design oversight, production and sustainment support, radar performance and failure analysis, and test planning and execution. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. What You Will Do: * Work as part of a systems engineering team to define radar system requirements, design supporting architecture and algorithms, and collaborate with software development teams to ensure proper implementation
* Analyze radar system performance against requirements to identify performance gaps and recommend improvements
* Prototype new or modified algorithms to enhance system capability and effectiveness
* Present plans, designs, performance results, and technical recommendations to peers, leadership, and external customers
* Serve as a subject-matter expert to agile software teams, ensuring accurate and effective implementation of system requirements
* Contribute to one or more capability areas, including: Electronic protection, signal processing, applied mathematics, Hypersonic threat defense, Tracking, discrimination, search, and battle manager interfaces, Radar calibration, diagnostics, deployed site support and Modeling and simulation of tactical software
* Support bid and proposal activities by contributing labor or material cost estimates when needed.
* Communicate system designs, analysis results, and test outcomes to internal and external stakeholders
* Support occasional business travel (up to 20%)
Qualifications You Must Have: * Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline (preferably Systems, Electrical, Software or Physics) and a minimum of 8 years of prior, relevant experience with RF system design, digital and/or analog signal processing, radar waveform or signal modulation analysis, and/or algorithm evaluation and testing
* The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance Qualifications We Prefer: * Experience with ground-based radar systems and/or Missile Defense programs
