Job description

Armed Security Officer

First Coast Security Solutions provides security services nationwide. We are seeking a Armed Security Officer to support the CIFSO contract in the Whitestown, Indiana area. You must be willing to work on weekends and holidays. The Officer is responsible for enforcing security protocols, controlling access, and responding to emergencies. This role requires professionalism and ability to respond to incidents.

Pay Transparency

Pay Rate: $34.91/hour + $5.09 Health & Welfare (H&W)

Responsibilities

  • Control of access to facilities.
  • Patrol assigned areas on foot or in a vehicle to identify hazards, detect security violations, and ensure safe conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and overall facility activity, including vehicle inspections, gate operations, CCTV monitoring, and remote access systems.
  • Respond to incidents such as medical emergencies, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other situations.
  • Must report hazardous conditions.
  • Staff vehicle checkpoints.
  • Protect evidence and secure incident scenes as required.
  • Complete logs, reports, and documentation.
  • Report suspicious activities, safety concerns, or incidents.
  • Follow all safety rules, company policies, and site procedures.
  • Must know and follow all established Use of Force policies.
  • Other related duties may be assigned based on site needs.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be a United States citizen.
  • Must have valid US state issued driver’s license
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Shall fluently speak, read, comprehend, and compose coherent written reports in English.
  • Must maintain all required licenses, permits, and certifications.
  • Push-ups: As many as possible within 2 minutes
  • Sit-ups: As many as possible within 2 minutes
  • 300-meter sprint: As fast as possible
  • 165 lb victim drag (82 feet): Pass/Fail

Working Conditions

  • Work may be performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind.
  • Position requires standing and walking patrols for extended periods and responding quickly.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and move up to 25–50 lbs as needed.
  • May involve exposure to noise, bright lighting, and fast-paced environments.
  • Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and extended shifts.
  • Must be available to travel.

Experience

Must meet one of the following: minimum of three (3) years of verifiable experience is required in one of the following areas:

  • Armed Security
  • Law Enforcement
  • Honorable Military Service in any component of the U.S. Armed Forces
  • College Degree in Criminal Justice
