Position Summary
Vector Fleet Management, an Amerit Fleet Solutions Company, is an American based, privately held company that has been in the fleet maintenance business for over 30 years. Vector Fleet provides onsite, customized fleet maintenance solutions for clients in numerous states across the U.S. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, we manage multiple satellite operations at various contract sites across the country. Fleet maintenance is our one mission and we know we must hire the best to be the best. We are currently accepting applications for qualified Medium/Heavy Diesel Technicians to support our customer's fleet located in the Big Spring, TX area.
Compensation: Competitive Hourly Pay - PAID EVERY FRIDAY! $28.00-32.00/hr depending on experience!
Shift: M-F, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Qualifications/Requirements
  • 2+ years' experience working on Heavy/Medium Duty Diesel Trucks and Equipment
  • Must have the ability to perform preventive and repair maintenance on diesel engines and emergency apparatus
  • Technicians must own basic set of hand tools and wheeled toolbox suitable for daily use
  • ASE or OEM Certifications highly desirable
  • Trade School Certificates a plus
  • Willingness and ability to advance technical training and certification in emergency vehicle repair
  • Must have acceptable driving record and pass drug test and background check

Working Conditions:
  • Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.
  • Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise.
  • Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants
  • Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
  • Ability to move and position heavy objects
  • Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles
  • Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
