Job Description

Overview:

ServiceNow isĀ seekingĀ an experienced and visionaryĀ Director ofĀ Data & AIĀ PlatformĀ Security Product Bundle (Vault)Ā to lead strategy, product direction, and execution for ourĀ data,Ā AI, & userĀ securityĀ monetizable productĀ portfolio. This role owns the end-to-end leadership ofĀ ServiceNow Vault including encryption, data privacy, log exportĀ service,Ā code signing & AI native Vault console.Ā Ā 

This is aĀ high-impact, high-visibility leadership roleĀ responsible for shaping enterprises secureĀ data,Ā govern access, meet regulatory demands, and scale securely in an increasingly autonomous and agentic future. The Director will serve as a strategic partner for Engineering,Ā Vault product team, Platform Security, Identity & Authentication, Legal & Compliance, and Executive Leadership.Ā

  • Strategic Leadership & VisionĀ 
    • Define and drive aĀ multi-year strategy and product visionĀ forĀ Vault product bundleĀ aligned with ServiceNow’s platform and business priorities.Ā 
    • Lead ServiceNow’sĀ Customer ZeroĀ adoption ofĀ VaultĀ security capabilities, influencing internal usage patterns and enterprise-scale best practices.Ā 
    • Partner with executive leadership to articulate progress, outcomes, and business value to internal and external stakeholders.Ā 
  • Product Strategy, Roadmap & DeliveryĀ 
    • Own theĀ VaultĀ Security productĀ bundleĀ roadmap, including prioritization, sequencing, dependencies, and delivery outcomes.Ā 
    • Translate complex requirements acrossĀ the ServiceNow Vault product bundle including encryption, data privacy, log export service, code signing & AI native VaultĀ console intoĀ clear functional specifications and engineering deliverables.Ā 
    • ChampionĀ AI-native features, agentic workflows, and automation-driven security capabilitiesĀ that modernize enterprise risk management.Ā 
    • Ensure solutions areĀ scalable, resilient, automated, and deeply integratedĀ with the ServiceNow platform and AI ecosystem.Ā 
  • Cross-Functional LeadershipĀ 
    • Act as theĀ central pointĀ of coordination acrossĀ SecOps, Identity & Authentication, Platform Security, Engineering, Audit, Risk,Ā legal, P&P,Ā and ComplianceĀ teams.Ā 
    • Lead cross-functional planning forums to define requirements, integration patterns, release plans, and adoption strategies.Ā 
    • Influence decision-making across security, product, engineering, and business stakeholders without direct authority.Ā 
  • Domain & Technical ExpertiseĀ 
    • Experience inĀ leveragingĀ orĀ criticallyĀ thinking about how to integrateĀ data security &Ā AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI’s potential impact on the function or industry.Ā 
    • Apply deepĀ expertiseĀ inĀ data,Ā AIĀ securityĀ ,andĀ cybersecurity frameworks, including but not limited to SOX ITGC, NIST, ISO, CMMC, privacy regulations, vendor risk, operational resilience, and theĀ EU AI Act.Ā 
    • GuideĀ architectural decisions related toĀ dataĀ security, agentic systems, authorization models, protocol security, data protection, and platform access controls.Ā 
    • Evaluate data models, integrations, system architecture, and implementation quality to ensure long-term platform integrity.Ā 
  • Change Management & AdoptionĀ 
    • Drive global enablement throughĀ training, documentation, communication, and adoption programs.Ā 
    • Define and trackĀ KPIs and success metricsĀ for adoption,Ā utilization, risk reduction, and business value realization.Ā

Qualifications

Required Experience & Qualifications:Ā 

  • 13-18+ years of leadership experienceĀ inĀ data &Ā AI security,Ā data privacy, encryption,Ā authorization, and data security.Ā 
  • DeepĀ expertiseĀ inĀ data security, agentic systems, andĀ regulatoryĀ frameworks.Ā 
  • Proven experience designing and operatingĀ enterpriseĀ data securityĀ programs.Ā 
  • Demonstrated history ofĀ building, mentoring, and leading high-performing teams.Ā 
  • StrongĀ customer-first mindsetĀ with the ability to balance innovation, risk, and usability.Ā 
  • Experience withĀ process automation and AI-driven security workflows.Ā 
  • Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills, including exposure toĀ AI &Ā dataĀ security tactics.Ā 
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical and regulatory concepts toĀ executives, customers, and cross-functional partners.

JV20

For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $221,200 - $387,100, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
