 Job Summary
The Vault Cashier is responsible for vault operations, fund transfers, and essential financial functions during the overnight shift. 

Compensation & Shift

  • Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
  • Shift: Graveyard (Overnight)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Financial Accountability: Maintain precise tracking of all assigned casino funds.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Complete daily shift paperwork per company policy and state gaming regulations.
  • Discrepancy Investigation: Track and investigate all cash overages and shortages.
  • Compliance Standards: Follow company policies, Title 31 rules, and federal/state/local regulations.
  • Interdepartmental Support: Service all casino departments, including processing pit fills, jackpots, and standard fills.
  • Security Control: Maintain strict control over assigned facility keys.
  • Equipment Management: Maintain ATM and Kiosk uptime by filling funds, loading paper, and fixing errors.
  • Promotional Awareness: Maintain full knowledge of current casino promotions and redemption rules.
  • Transaction Handling: Process change, EZ Pay tickets, checks, credit cards, and player check-cashing.
  • Shift Auditing: Verify all cage drawer funds at the end of every cashier shift.
  • Collaboration: Work as a team player across departments to support general operations.
  • Operational Knowledge: Maintain working knowledge of Soft Count, Hard Count, and Central Credit systems.
  • Customer Service: Answer phones professionally and assist customers according to department procedures.
  • Station Upkeep: Clean and sanitize all business countertops during the shift.
  • Management Support: Execute additional duties and priorities as directed by the General Manager or Controller. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged Standing: Ability to stand and remain on your feet for the entirety of an 8-hour shift.
  • Heavy Lifting: Ability to regularly lift, push, pull, and carry cash drawers or heavy coin bags weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Manual Dexterity: Fine motor skills to quickly count currency, manipulate coins, and operate computer systems or calculators.
  • Work Environment: Comfort working in a noisy, fast-paced casino environment with exposure to second-hand smoke. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]

Licensing & Background Requirements

  • Minimum Age: Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Background Screening: Must successfully pass a comprehensive criminal background check and pre-employment drug test.
