Shifts: Day 4x10-Hour (11:00 AM – 9:30 PM)
📆 Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Description:

• Provide perioperative nursing care in a high-volume, multi-specialty Operating Room
• Work day shifts (11:00 AM – 9:30 PM) on a 4x10 schedule
• Circulate and assist during a wide variety of surgical procedures while maintaining a sterile environment
Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience required
• Experience required in Orthopedic (total joints and trauma), Neuro, GYN/Urology, Vascular, and Thoracic surgery
• Experience with a broad range of general, vascular, thoracic, ENT, GI, OB/GYN, spine, orthopedic, plastic, and urology procedures required
• Experience with the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System preferred
EPIC experience preferred
BLS certification required
• Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and IV insertion required for all RNs at Unity
Call required
First-time travelers are not accepted
• Travelers must reside more than 75 miles from the facility (no locals accepted)
Pending New York RN license not accepted
• Block scheduling may be accommodated but is not guaranteed
• Minimal RTO requested during the contract
• Maintain patient safety through infection control, specimen handling, blood product administration, laser/radiation safety, universal protocol (time-out), and emergency/code response procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team to ensure safe, high-quality perioperative patient care
• Strong sterile technique, critical thinking, communication, and surgical nursing skills required
