Responsibilities include assessing patients for appropriate vascular access, coordinating and performing PICC line insertions (including recommendations for procedural support when indicated), and performing ultrasound-guided peripheral IV insertions. The successful candidate will serve as a vascular access resource by providing education, mentorship, and bedside consultation to nursing staff regarding peripheral IV insertion, vascular access device selection, ongoing assessment, maintenance, troubleshooting, and management. Additional responsibilities include participating in evidence-based practice initiatives, quality improvement projects, and interdisciplinary safety teams to advance pediatric vascular access practice and improve patient outcomes. Candidates must have a minimum of three years of nursing experience, with pediatric experience preferred.
