Job Description:Director, Digital Assets Operations

The Role

In this role you will be responsible for assessing and documenting the requirements for Fidelity’s digital investment products operational ecosystem, including cryptocurrencies and tokenized products. The areas for evaluation will include Fidelity Fund Investment Operations. You will provide critical digital subject matter expertise and context to accelerate product roadmap and target state operating model.

This role is in the Digital team within Global Product Solutions (GPS). GPS is a central service team focused on intaking new product requirements from Asset Management to help expand FFIO’s capabilities and to move from operational readiness to a scalable target state operating model. The role will interact with many groups within the Fidelity organization and effectively represents the business to customers and business partners.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. 10+ years of experience preferred. CAIA, CFA, and /or MBA is a plus.

  • Experience in investment and fund operations, including key processes (administration, valuation, custody, trading ops, performance, compliance) and how operating models function across asset management.

  • Experience in asset management operations, product/portfolio operations, or technology-enabled operating model change.

  • Understanding of digital asset space and ability to ramp quickly in this sector. Detailed knowledge of digital investment products—cryptocurrencies, tokens, and blockchain-based transaction flows—preferred.

  • Project/program management excellence, including proficiency with PM tools and PMO practices.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and analytical problem-solving skills—able to influence in a matrixed environment, synthesize complex issues, and deliver clear, actionable recommendation.

What You’ll Do

Program & PMO Leadership

  • Own end-to-end program management for digital asset operations initiatives (RTB + CTB).

  • Build and maintain integrated project plans, deliverables calendars, and critical path timelines.

  • Establish and run cadence with business partners across FFIO, GPS, AM, Compliance, Legal, Risk, Technology, TO, and external providers.

  • Create executive-ready materials for stakeholders and governance forums.

  • Stand up and run program PMO mechanisms: RAID, decision logs, change control, intake triage, and KPI tracking.

Governance, Communication & Education

  • Prepare concise, decision-oriented communications for leadership.

  • Maintain documentation of operating models, process maps, RACI, controls, and playbooks.

  • Leverage Fidelity’s Digital Drivers curriculum to cascade digital asset awareness across FFIO and partner teams.

Run the Business

  • Coordinate daily operational readiness for digital products—process stability, controls, SLAs, and incident response.

  • Track and resolve operational issues, drive root cause analysis and durable fixes.

  • Align and document procedures across administration, custody, valuation, trading ops, performance, compliance monitoring, and data flows.

Change the Business

  • Lead cross-functional execution for new capabilities, product launches, regulatory change, and platform migrations.

  • Manage dependencies across teams and vendors; ensure testing, readiness, and controlled releases.

  • Assist Technology on roadmap delivery for digital assets.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.

The base salary range for this position is $103,000-211,000 USD per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
