IS THIS YOU?
• You're a proven GSM with full variable ops ownership - new car, pre-owned, F&I, and digital retail - and a leadership approach built on clarity, process, and accountability
• You lead by developing people, not managing around them - your desk managers and sales advisors are better because of how you coach them
• You're ready to lead the variable operation at one of Swickard's flagship luxury stores - a Best of the Best Mercedes-Benz location in the Portland metro
WHO WE ARE
Swickard Auto Group is a hospitality company that happens to sell and service cars. We believe the best guest experiences start with the best employee experiences. That's why we've grown to 40+ rooftops across the West Coast, Alaska, and Hawaii while maintaining a culture built on one simple idea: do right by people, every time.
Mercedes-Benz of Wilsonville is one of Swickard's flagship stores and a consistent recipient of Mercedes-Benz's Best of the Best recognition - a distinction earned through sustained excellence in sales performance, guest satisfaction, and operational standards. The General Sales Manager of this store leads the variable operation of one of the most respected Mercedes-Benz dealerships in the Pacific Northwest.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Own full variable operations - leading new car, pre-owned, F&I, and digital retail performance with accountability for volume, gross, and guest satisfaction
• Lead and develop desk managers, BDC leaders, and sales consultants - transitioning managers into coaches who operate with discipline, consistency, and genuine hospitality
• Implement and sustain a daily execution rhythm built on appointment preparation, rapid lead response, CRM discipline, and structured follow-up
• Own inventory strategy - managing new-car allocations, Mercedes-Benz CPO pipeline, trade appraisals, used vehicle acquisition and pricing, aging control, and market positioning
• Partner with Fixed Ops and Finance to create seamless guest handoffs and a lifetime relationship with every Mercedes-Benz owner
• Protect and build the store's reputation and OEM relationship - MBZ Best of the Best standards are a baseline, not a ceiling
• Own the KPIs that define variable performance - volume, front and back gross, digital close rates, lead response times, and CSI/NPS
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• 3+ years of GSM or senior desk manager experience at a high-volume franchised dealership - required
• Mercedes-Benz or luxury brand experience strongly preferred - familiarity with MBZ sales processes, CPO standards, and OEM expectations is a significant advantage
• Demonstrates a high HQ (Hospitality Quotient) - kindness and optimism, intellectual curiosity, strong work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity
• A leadership approach rooted in clarity, preparation, and steady accountability - you lead by standard, not by pressure
• Deep experience with modern digital retail, CRM utilization, appointment setting, and structured follow-up processes
• Strong operational instincts around luxury inventory, CPO pipeline management, pricing, and market dynamics
• Proven ability to build and develop high-performing sales teams in a luxury environment
• A guest-first mindset that reflects the Mercedes-Benz brand standard and Swickard's hospitality-first culture
WHAT WE OFFER
Income potential of $200,000 - $350,000+ annually
• Medical, dental, and vision insurance
• Life insurance and supplemental coverage options
• Paid time off and paid holidays
• Career growth - strong GSMs at Swickard grow into platform director and executive leadership roles
• The opportunity to lead one of Swickard's most recognized flagship stores
• Employee vehicle purchase and service discounts
• The backing of a growing, hospitality-led automotive group with clear standards and long-term vision

• A consistent Best of the Best Mercedes-Benz store - the standard here is high and the recognition reflects it. This is a store where a GSM's work shows up in the results
• Wilsonville and the greater Portland metro represent a strong, growing luxury automotive market with a loyal Mercedes-Benz ownership base
• A hospitality-first culture that aligns the guest experience with the employee experience - Swickard was founded on the belief that the best guest experiences start with the best employee experiences
• Swickard is one of the fastest-growing dealer groups in the country - ranked Top 5 in North America for reputation in the automotive industry
• Our HEART values - Honor, Engage, Anticipate, Respond, Thank - define how we lead, how we hire, and how we serve
• Executive leadership that sets clear standards, gives its GSMs room to operate, and backs them with the tools and support to succeed at the highest level
Mercedes-Benz of Wilsonville is a flagship store with a proven track record, a loyal guest base, and the OEM recognition to match. The GSM who leads this operation will have the brand, the market, and the organizational backing to build on that foundation - and the earning potential that reflects what's possible when a skilled variable ops leader operates at a store like this.
