Job description

Eaton’s Commercial Products & Assemblies division is currently seeking Value Stream Managers to lead manufacturing production on second shift (4pm to 12:45am). Additional hours may be required to ensure proper preparation for shift start-up, leadership staff meetings, and occasional overtime for end of month. This role is located in ElPaso, TX.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Value Stream Manager leads switchboard production operations and is accountable for achieving safety, quality, delivery, and customer satisfaction objectives. This role provides strategic direction and operational leadership across key manufacturing processes, ensuring customer requirements, quality standards, and production commitments are consistently met.

The Value Stream Manager supports the execution of the plant’s strategic objectives by overseeing the conversion of product designs into finished goods and driving operational performance. As a key member of the leadership team, this position serves as the primary liaison between the Plant Manager and production supervisors, fostering alignment, accountability, and continuous improvement to achieve organizational goals.

What you’ll do:
  • Lead all assembly value stream operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and customer service objectives while managing within approved budgets and schedules.
  • Champion MESH initiatives and foster a Zero Incident Culture by ensuring a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace.
  • Drive operational excellence through the deployment of Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF), Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS), Eaton Business System (EBS), and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Develop, coach, and maintain a high-performing, cross-trained, quality-focused workforce through employee engagement, talent development, and succession planning.
  • Manage and direct production activities to ensure efficient resource utilization, schedule attainment, and on‑time delivery of customer orders.
  • Establish, monitor, and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost, and inventory performance, while implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to support customer satisfaction, new product introductions, strategic growth initiatives, and continuous process improvements.
  • Develop and execute short‑ and long‑term business strategies that support plant objectives, improve manufacturing performance, and drive sustainable growth, profitability, and market competitiveness.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience managing people and/or project teams
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ cross‑functional experience with scheduling, engineering, manufacturing production, and/or customer service functions
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
  • Only candidates within a 50‑mile radius of ElPaso, TX will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Three plus (3+) years of experience supporting engineered-to-order products
  • Lean Six Sigma certified
  • Fluent in both Spanish and English

The expected annual salary range for this role is $113,000 - $165,000 a year. This role is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
