The Senior Business Valuation Associate on the Business Valuation and Transaction Advisory Services team will lead financial analysis and modeling, apply advanced valuation techniques and conducting client management interviews. This role will mentor junior analysts, contribute to Quality of Earnings engagements, and offer expertise in transaction advisory services. The Senior Analyst shapes the team's strategic direction and ensures client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead in-depth financial analysis and modeling to facilitate the valuation of diverse businesses and assets 
  • Take charge of intricate valuation techniques, such as capitalization of earnings, public company analysis, discounted cash flow analysis, and other advanced methodologies 
  • Produce detailed and comprehensive valuation reports, presenting findings and insights to clients in a clear and concise manner 
  • Provide expert-level insights and recommendations based on valuation outcomes 
  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships, including conducting high-level management interviews to obtain a holistic understanding of their businesses 
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, contributing senior-level expertise to enhance overall engagement outcomes 
  • Bring advanced knowledge and experience to transaction-related valuations, ESOPs, and estate & gift planning valuations 
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and interns, fostering skill development and knowledge enhancement within the valuation team 
  • Share industry best practices and keep the team informed about emerging trends in business valuation 
  • Utilize strong networking skills to cultivate and maintain relationships with clients, resulting in successful engagement acquisition and closure 
  • Conduct site-visits and assist junior team members with completing ride-alongs 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting 
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in business valuation 
  • Progress toward or attainment of professional designations such as CFA, ABV, ASA, CVA is preferred  
  • Demonstrated track record of extensive experience in financial analysis and valuation modeling 
  • In-depth knowledge of a broad spectrum of valuation techniques and methodologies 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts in a clear and understandable manner 
  • Ability to conduct high-level management interviews, extracting pertinent information to enhance valuation processes
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining client relationships at a senior level
