Job description

The Department of Anesthesiology for District Medical Group (DMG) is seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Anesthesiologist for a fulltime clinical practice at Valleywise Health Care System.ย  Valleywise Health Medical Center is a community based, University affiliated teaching facility, with ACS verified and State designated Level 1 Adult Trauma and ABA verified Burn Center in the metropolitan Phoenix area.ย 

The clinical practice includes L&D, neonatal and general pediatric surgery, general surgery, robotic surgery, neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, burn, level I trauma, orthopedics, podiatric surgery, and special procedures outside the OR.ย  TEE equipment is available to our anesthesiologists for perioperative and critical care patients.ย  About 11,000 anesthesia encounters generated per year.ย  In-house call is 4-5 times per month.ย  Position requires flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work with high acuity adult and pediatric patients while supervising and teaching emergency medicine and surgery residents, CRNAs, student nurse anesthetist, and medical students. ย This teaching exposure creates opportunity for our physicians to apply to our university affiliations for academic appointment.ย
