SUMMARY

A Generator Rental Technician is a position in the US Generator Rental Division. The primary duties and responsibilities of this position are to perform service and maintenance on Power Plus rental generators. This requires the technician to work in the shop and occasionally drive to customer sites, interact with customers in a professional and manner, and fill out inspection paperwork indicating the performance of the generator.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Fuel, operate and maintain generators
  • Assist in the installation of rental generators at various sites, including telecommunication facilities, existing structures, and construction trailers, for example.
  • Order parts for repairs as needed
  • Basic maintenance and troubleshooting of generator systems, including but not limited to performing engine oil and coolant services, servicing and priming fuel system.

COMPETENCIES/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Diesel generator experience a plus.
  • Technical schooling, automotive or transportation fields, commercial, residential electric and or like military experience would be a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of mechanical and electrical theory and application.
