The Interventional Radiology department is dedicated to the development and application of imaging to guide minimally invasive techniquesutilizedin diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of conditions. This team supports the most leading-edge therapies offered at Cleveland Clinic.

A caregiver in this position worksdays| 7:00am-5:30pm|4-10s| Holidays - closed onhospital'srecognized holidays.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Provide nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services to hospitalized patients in various healthcare settings.

  • Assess patients, complete nursing assessments, document findings in patientrecordsand notify physicians of abnormal findings.

  • Perform telephone triage and call rotations.

  • Perform nursing procedures and administer treatments and medications.

  • Establish care plans in collaboration with patients,familiesand the health care team.

  • Coordinate ongoing care,identifydischargeneedsandfacilitatedischarge planning.

  • Evaluate,initiateand maintain standards of care.

  • Educate patients and families.

  • Cover other nursing roles in the department.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing(Diploma, ADN, BSN program)

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)or American Red Cross

  • *If in an ED, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire or within one year of beginning work in the Emergency Department.

  • *If in areasoperatingwith Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICC Lines), Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI)or Vascular Access Board Certified (VA-BC) certification is preferred within three years of hire.

  • One year of recent experience as an RN

  • OR LicensedRN with at least 2 years of LPN experience within the sameCleveland Clinicprocedural department (may substitute for required RN experience)

  • Currentdemonstratedclinical competence

  • Strong communicationand interpersonal skills

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Bachelor'sof Science in Nursing (BSN)

  • Two years of recent experience as an RN

  • ICU experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
  • Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
  • Requires some exposure to communicable disease or bodily fluids.
  • Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $35.50

Maximum hourly: $55.60
