About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn't a buzzword - it's a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You're in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

We are hiring a dynamic Principal designer to join our AgentExchange UX team. AgentExchange is the world's largest B2B marketplace, powering the Salesforce ecosystem with thousands of prebuilt AI solutions and tooling, apps, components, data solutions, and consulting services. We're redefining how customers discover, evaluate, and adopt technology to extend Salesforce.
We're a tight-knit team working at the intersection of marketplace design, enterprise scale, and AI-powered innovation. We value systems thinking, thoughtful storytelling, collaboration and drive. To be successful in this role, you will bring proven creative leadership, top-notch visual design skills, and the demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership in an enterprise environment.
About Salesforce UX
Our teams craft Salesforce's enterprise and consumer products, create new design patterns and guidelines, and partner with cross-disciplinary teams to bring human-centered experiences to life. These roles are an opportunity to solve meaningful problems at scale, design for inclusivity and accessibility, and make life better for our users and customers.
You'll set and articulate the product and feature vision by leveraging your skills in visualization, influence, and empathy, guiding the team through its implementation. You'll partner closely with product and technology leaders as a trusted, senior stakeholder in our release roadmap. You'll immerse yourself in the end-to-end experience of your work, creating a variety of design artifacts to communicate ideas and direction and to persuade senior audiences. Ultimately, you'll make products people love to use - tools that make a salesperson's day more productive, a marketer's campaign more powerful, and a developer's app more feature-rich. If you want to use your UX skills to set the creative vision, inspire teams, and transform the way business gets done, we would love for you to join us!
Experience/Skills Required

  • 12-15+ years of experience designing and delivering software products from start to finish as part of a cross-functional team, including experience shaping product vision at a senior leadership level.
  • Ability to deliver solutions on time independently and with on-site and distributed teams, while managing engagement and expectations across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design methods and best practices, and experience using analytics and research to drive decisions and develop product iterations.
  • Strong AI-Fluency including experience with emerging AI tools and new ways of working.
  • Ability to explore ideas, persuade, and build consensus with senior leadership on fast-moving projects with varying degrees of ambiguity and deadlines.
  • Capability to deliver original, high-quality design work that is conceptually strong, pushes the boundaries of a solution and raises the bar for creative work, meets business needs, and is at the right level of fidelity for each phase of a project.
  • Executive-level communication and active listening skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and develop close, trusting relationships with a wide variety of senior stakeholders across product and engineering - including recruiting world-class, diverse talent.
  • Proven track record managing large design initiatives end to end, including managing competing priorities across multiple disciplines.
  • Demonstrated desire to continually improve on processes, and a history of driving meaningful process improvements at a team or org level.
  • Mastery of designing and thinking in design systems, not just single-purpose apps - including evolving and teaching the design systems approach to others, in and outside UX.
  • Actively holds difficult conversations about how designs impact ethics and equality, questioning projects, processes, and assumptions that may harm others - especially underrepresented groups - and has the conviction to speak up if veering off course.
  • Expert knowledge of current design tools, such as Figma, along with an ability to learn new tools.
  • A related technical degree required.
  • E-Commerce or app marketplace experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Set the vision for your product area, articulating it with passion and guiding the team through implementation, in close collaboration with product owners, engineers, and user research teams.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and bridge linking design, product, engineering, and marketing teams across multiple disciplines.
  • Oversee multiple web and mobile application features, interfaces, and experiences across a broader product surface.
  • Communicate complex, compelling ideas that influence senior leadership using documentation, reviews, and presentations.
  • Produce prototypes, wireframes, storyboards, concepts, and other collateral to help communicate research results and persuasively make the case for new ideas at the leadership level.
  • Lead the evolution of design systems - creating designs that adhere to and extend the existing style guide, while suggesting and contributing to systemic modifications and teaching others the design systems approach.
  • Generate detailed final design specs that inspire accurate developer builds.
  • Work with developers and quality experts to deliver a polished final product.
  • Promote and educate others on new interface guidelines and design patterns across the broader organization.
  • Mentor and develop other designers, facilitating growth opportunities and actively advocating for team goals; partner with recruiting to identify and hire world-class, diverse talent.
  • Develop software that is global in reach, universal in design, and designed for users of multiple languages and abilities.
  • Champion and hold the line on accessibility, encouraging product and engineering management to prioritize accessible features and bug fixes, and questioning decisions that may be harmful to underrepresented groups.
  • Set and own the vision for a product's creative identity, articulate it clearly and convincingly to senior leadership, and guide the team through its implementation.
