UX Product Managers are professionals who bridge the gap between user experience (UX) design and product management. They are responsible for ensuring that a product not only meets business goals but also provides an intuitive and satisfying experience for users. This role involves collaborating with designers, developers, and stakeholders to define product vision, prioritize features, and ensure that user needs are at the forefront of product development. UX Product Managers use data and user feedback to guide decisions and help create products that are both valuable and usable.

How does a UX product manager typically collaborate with designers and engineers throughout the product development process?

A UX Product Manager plays a central role in bridging the gap between design, engineering, and business teams. They work closely with UX designers to ensure user needs are incorporated into product requirements, and partner with engineers to clarify technical feasibility and prioritize features. Regular cross-functional meetings, user testing sessions, and design reviews are common touchpoints where the UX Product Manager facilitates communication, aligns the team on user-centered goals, and helps resolve conflicts. This collaborative approach ensures the final product delivers both great user experience and meets business objectives.

Location: Morrisville, NC
Duration: 7 months
Overview
We're looking for a digital product designer with approximately 5-7 years of experience who combines strong UX fundamentals with exceptional visual and interaction design skills to transform product requirements and user insights into intuitive, beautifully crafted digital experiences.
You'll work closely with fellow designers, business stakeholders, product managers, researchers, and engineers to shape and deliver engaging product experiences. From translating requirements into experience concepts through high-fidelity UI design, prototyping, testing, and engineering handoff, you'll play a key role in creating products that are elegant, intuitive, and impactful.
The ideal candidate is passionate about design craft, enjoys simplifying complex workflows, and has a sharp eye for visual detail. You embrace AI as both a design medium and a productivity tool designing AI-assisted experiences while leveraging AI to accelerate ideation, exploration, and execution. You'll also work within our design system and help evolve it by contributing new components and patterns as our products grow.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with fellow designers and business stakeholders to understand user needs, business objectives, and product requirements.
  • Translate product requirements and user insights into intuitive product experiences.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity user interface designs.
  • Craft visually compelling interfaces with exceptional attention to layout, typography, spacing, hierarchy, interaction design, and accessibility.
  • Design AI-powered and AI-assisted experiences that simplify workflows and improve productivity.
  • Leverage AI-powered design tools to accelerate ideation, prototyping, content generation, and overall design quality.
  • Present design concepts and prototypes, communicate design rationale, gather feedback, and iterate on solutions.
  • Apply and contribute to the design system by using existing components while creating new patterns and components when needed.
  • Produce detailed design specifications and collaborate closely with engineers to ensure high-quality implementation.
  • Participate in usability testing, beta testing, and post-launch refinement to continuously improve the user experience.
  • Collaborate effectively with product managers, researchers, engineers, and fellow designers throughout the product development lifecycle.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Approximately 5-7 years of professional experience designing digital products or enterprise applications.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional product design, interaction design, visual design, and user interface craftsmanship.
  • Strong UX fundamentals, including experience creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and user-centered interaction designs.
  • Exceptional visual design skills with a passion for creating clean, modern, intuitive, and highly usable interfaces.
  • Expertise with Figma and modern design and prototyping tools.
  • Experience working with design systems and contributing reusable components and patterns.
  • Familiarity with designing AI-enabled user experiences and enthusiasm for using AI tools to improve both product experiences and design efficiency.
  • Experience conducting or applying usability testing to validate and refine designs.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively within cross-functional Agile product teams.

What Success Looks Like
  • You create product experiences that are intuitive, visually polished, and easy to use.
  • You balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints to deliver thoughtful design solutions.
  • You sweat the details, from interaction patterns and visual hierarchy to micro-interactions and accessibility.
  • You embrace feedback, iterate quickly, and continuously improve your work.
  • You leverage AI to enhance both the experiences you design and the way you design them.
  • You contribute to a scalable, consistent design system while helping it evolve as new product needs emerge.
  • You are a collaborative teammate who enjoys partnering with designers, product managers, engineers, researchers, and business stakeholders to create exceptional digital products.
