Job Overview

Black Rock Enterprises is seeking an experienced Civil Construction Superintendent to lead field operations across industrial, government, and union-based utility and sitework projects. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily jobsite activities, managing crews and subcontractors, maintaining schedules, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope. The ideal candidate brings 7–10 years of civil construction experience, strong technical knowledge of plans and grading, and the leadership ability to drive performance while maintaining a positive, safety-first culture.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
  • Lead and manage daily field operations for civil, utility, and industrial construction projects.
  • Interpret and execute project plans, specifications, grades, and technical documents.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, union labor crews, equipment, and materials.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules in collaboration with Project Management
  • Enforce OSHA safety standards and company safety protocols
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and ensure proper documentation
  • Monitor production, quality control, and cost efficiency
  • Utilize technology, project management software, and Excel to track progress and reporting.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and ownership.Serve as a leader and role model, promoting strong core values and team accountability.

Qualifications
  • 7–10 years of experience in civil construction, utilities, or sitework
  • Proven experience as a Superintendent or Senior Foreman on industrial or government projects
  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans, grades, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and construction management software.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong safety awareness and commitment to OSHA compliance
  • Experience working in a union environment preferred.OSHA Certification preferred.
