National Salvage & Service Corporation is actively searching for an Accounting Clerk. This role is on-site at our home office in Bloomington, Indiana.

*Not a remote position

*No relocation or moving expenses

Job Classification:

  • Non-Exempt
  • Daytime Hours
  • Monday - Friday
  • Full Time (Hourly)
  • Regular Position (40 hours)

Essential Job Functions:

  • Organizational skills filing documents, invoices, and receipts following established processes and procedures
  • Skilled in Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Experience with accounting software, Sage preferred
  • Experience in TimberScan, preferred
  • Ability to liaison well between accounting and other departments for A/P and PO workflow requirements
  • Comfortable coding and processing 1,000+ invoices per month, regularly.
  • Ability and desire to work in a rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality while handling files and records

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5-year work experience in accounting in a fast-paced environment preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications, with emphasis on Excel.
  • Capable to Prioritize workload and perform in a Fast-paced and challenging environment
  • Capacity to liaison well between accounting and other departments for A/P and PO workflow requirements
  • Ability and desire to work in a rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality while handling files and records
  • Physical Requirements: Stand, Walk, Bend, Twist, Move Throughout the Day, Use Hands in Repetitive Motions, sitting for long periods of time, repeat same movements, Lift 20 pounds. This is an indoor position in a typical office setting.
