Summary:
The Utility Associate performs a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties while assisting with the preparation of food items, as instructed.


Responsibilities:
1. Performs a variety of cleaning and organizing activities to include, but not limited to:
-Scrapes, stacks and loads pots, pans, dishes, trays, silverware and glassware into dishwasher;
-Scrubs pots;
-Unloads dishwasher and stores contents in proper locations;
-Cleans counters, tables and chairs;
-Cleans ovens, grill, deep fat fryer and steam tables;
-Sweeps, scrubs and mops floors;
-Cleans walls, windows and ledges;
-Drains and cleans dishwashing machine.
2. Provides assistance to cooks, as instructed to include, but not limited to:
-May wash and slice vegetables;
-May carve meat and portion items;
-May wrap food items for serving or storage;
-May set up, tear down and replenish food lines;
-May gather ingredients.
3. Uses safety/sanitation procedures to protect self and others.


Other information:
1. High School diploma or GED is preferred.
2. Food Handlers Certificate within 6 months of hire.
