GAS SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN I (Construction and Service)
Salary Range: $44,907.20 - $71,406.40
Hiring Range: $44,907.20 - $58,219.20

Job Duties
Greenville Utilities seeks individuals to perform natural gas pipeline work. Duties include: the construction of natural gas mains and services; spotting utility facilities; checking and repairing gas leaks; responding to customer requests; responding to emergency conditions; backfilling excavation trenches; ensuring vehicles are stocked with necessary materials and equipment; and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of Commission vehicles, hand tools, and gas powered and pneumatic tools.
Minimum Requirements
  • Preferred candidate should possess prior utility construction, service work, or gas pipeline experience.
  • Valid North Carolina Class A Commercial Driver's License or the ability to obtain a Class A Commercial Driver's License within six months of employment.
  • Graduation from an accredited high school or G.E.D.

Typical work schedule is 4 days/10 hours per day; Monday - Thursday or Tuesday - Friday; 7:00 am - 5:30 pm.
