Job description

Axyde Analytics is recruiting a senior corrosion, materials-of-construction and containment specialist for contingent USTDA critical-minerals project-scoping work.
The specialist will evaluate materials selection, corrosion/erosion mechanisms, lining and coating systems, piping and vessel integrity, secondary containment and life-cycle reliability across hydrometallurgical, mineral-processing, refining and battery-material facilities.
Required evidence:
• 15+ years in materials, corrosion, mechanical, chemical or metallurgical engineering; advanced degree or recognized professional certification preferred.
• Personal responsibility for materials-of-construction selection in acidic, alkaline, chloride, fluoride, slurry, high-temperature or otherwise aggressive process environments.
• Demonstrated corrosion-circuit definition, degradation-mechanism review, inspection/monitoring strategy, fitness-for-service or remaining-life assessment.
• Experience with liners, coatings, FRP, alloys, refractory/brick systems, storage and transfer systems, spill containment and environmental interfaces.
• Ability to connect process chemistry and operating envelopes to CAPEX/OPEX, maintainability, availability and residual technical risk.
• Ability to serve as a technical lead, alternate or independent reviewer based on independence and OCI facts.
Engagement is remote, project-based and contingent on contract award and assignment authorization; no minimum work is guaranteed. Limited travel to U.S. and international locations subject to U.S. Department of State Level 1 or Level 2 Travel Advisories may be required.
