Job description

Job Title- UX-UI Web Content Strategist

Project Location – Civic Hall 124 E. 14th, New York, NY 10003 (Hybrid – 3x)

Duration- 12+ months contract

VISA: USC/GC Only
The Content Strategist will be responsible for developing original content and guiding the content strategy for the Child Care Unified Hub. The role blends writing, strategy, collaboration, and user experience insights.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • NYC Style Guide Adherence: Apply the NYC government’s editorial standards in content creation. Propose justified exceptions if user research suggests a better approach.
  • Content Synthesis: Evaluate and consolidate content from agencies and external organizations for integration into the Hub.
  • User Research Participation: Collaborate with the delivery team to inform content based on real user needs.
  • Performance Metrics Collaboration: Work with project managers to set, measure, and track content performance KPIs (e.g., readability, engagement, user comprehension).
  • Data-Driven Content Creation: Use qualitative (user interviews, feedback) and quantitative (analytics, surveys) insights to refine and produce impactful content.
  • Content Project Management: Identify, plan, and track content-related tasks and deliverables for assigned projects.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Attend team and stakeholder meetings to present drafts, updates, and content strategy recommendations.

These are non-negotiable requirements:

  • 6+ Years of Web Content Experience:  Proven experience in content creation and strategy specifically for web platforms.
  • User-Centered Content Design: Demonstrated ability to create content that meets the needs of diverse users and adjusts iteratively.
  • Experience with Microcopy and Informational Sites: Skilled at writing succinct copy (e.g., buttons, forms) and detailed content (e.g., landing pages, help guides).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Past experience working alongside design, UX, research, or development teams to deliver digital services.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Able to effectively communicate ideas, receive feedback, and present work to stakeholders.
