The User Experience Content team contributes to Fidelity.com, NetBenefits.com, our flagship mobile app, NetBenefits mobile app, and Fidelity Health mobile app to help customers confidently manage and grow their financial lives. These products support some of the most heavily trafficked financial services experiences in the world. Our team's strength is its ability to think holistically across journeys, platforms, and user needs to connect people with the guidance, tools, insights, and resources they need to make informed financial decisions and achieve greater financial well-being.
The Role
As a Principal Content Strategist on the Workplace Investing UXC team, you will develop content strategies and scalable solutions for NetBenefits.com and the NetBenefits mobile app, helping participants understand and act on workplace benefits, retirement planning, and financial wellness opportunities. You'll translate complex financial concepts into intuitive, actionable experiences that guide participants as they discover benefits, evaluate options, and make informed decisions about their financial future.
Working closely with Product, Design, Research, and Legal, Risk & Compliance partners, you'll own content strategy across key participant experiences. From onboarding and engagement to planning and decision-making, you'll create content that reduces complexity, builds trust, and helps participants move forward with clarity at critical moments.
The Skills You Bring
  • 7-10 years of experience in content strategy, UX writing, content design, or related disciplines, preferably within financial services, benefits, healthcare, retirement, fintech, or similarly complex domains.
  • Proven track record as a collaborative, confident leader who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Experience shaping content across large-scale digital ecosystems, customer journeys, and product experiences, and partnering with product management, business stakeholders, UX Design, UX Research, and Legal, Risk & Compliance.
  • Comfort influencing senior stakeholders and navigating highly cross-functional environments.
  • Exceptional ability to translate complex financial, regulatory, product, and benefits-related concepts into clear, actionable, customer-centered content.
  • Strong understanding of, or proven ability to deeply learn, retirement products and planning, workplace benefits, and financial wellness.
  • Experience designing content for customers with varying levels of financial literacy and confidence, and using research data and insights to fuel iterations and improvements.
  • Experience defining content standards, governance models, content frameworks, and scalable approaches across products or platforms.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates:
    - Strategic thinking across complex systems and customer journeys
    - The ability to influence product direction through content
    - Strong execution across web and mobile experiences

Fidelity's Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
