Job description

Primary Responsibilities
Our bilingual content strategist is responsible for tailoring Spanish and English customer experiences via original content design, QC of vendor-translated content, and developing best practices in digital customer journeys.
Plans, designs, and creates digital content strategies to meet user needs and support business goals for projects across website and the mobile application
Provides strategic content recommendations and writing/editing support for a variety of projects
Builds positive, collaborative relationships with product managers/owners, and partners in UX, lines of business, legal, compliance, and marketing to deliver optimal user experiences
Leverages data, user research, and testing to inform content decisions and recommendations
Organizes content into logical taxonomies and/or task-based flows, employing information architecture and UX design best practices
Ensures all content is clear, easy to understand, and written in natural language, while also adhering to legal and compliance requirements
Performs content inventories, audits, and gap analysis
Provides content that is informed by the entire user experience, not just the immediate project
Collaborates with other UX content strategists to develop and maintain content style guides, voice and tone guidelines, and governance documentation
Facilitates content critiques, cross-functional workshops, and advises partners on content execution
Takes an omnichannel approach to content strategy
Works with executive leadership or senior staff when dealing with more complex issues, larger clients, projects, analyses, or internal relationships
Helps evolve content standards and advocates for application of these standards across the customer experience
May train or mentor less experienced associates
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing or related
Ten (10) years of professional experience with User Experience (UX) writing, content strategy, or content design for websites or applications
Bilingual: Spanish, English
Preferences
Banking industry knowledge
Experience working in a highly regulated industry
Experience working with enterprise design systems or component libraries
Experience with collaborative user interface (UI) design tools (InVision, Figma, Sketch or similar tools)
Experience with Agile development process and associated project management tools including Jira and Confluence
Skills and Competencies
Ability to distill complex information or processes into simple steps or plain language
Ability to work on multiple projects at once
Adept at designing content for websites, applications, or other digital experiences
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to negotiate and influence
Excellent organization and time management skills
Experience working with multiple stakeholders for content approval
Keen attention to detail, to ensure quality and accuracy at each deliverable stage
Understanding of user-centered design methodology
Understanding of search engine optimization, using keyword research to inform strategy
