Job description

We are looking for a Help Desk Technician to provide front-line technical support for end users. This contract position focuses on resolving everyday desktop and account-related issues, supporting user onboarding activities, and helping maintain a reliable technology environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with Windows-based systems, managing user access, and delivering responsive service with a detail-oriented approach.


Responsibilities:

• Provide first-level technical assistance for hardware, software, and access-related issues reported by employees

• Set up new user accounts, configure system access, and prepare workstations for incoming staff

• Support and troubleshoot devices running Microsoft Windows 11 to ensure smooth day-to-day operation

• Maintain and update user profiles, permissions, and group access within Active Directory

• Respond to service requests in a timely manner and document incidents, actions taken, and resolutions

• Guide users through basic troubleshooting steps and escalate more complex issues when needed

• Assist with workstation deployment, configuration changes, and general desktop support tasks

• Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Windows 11 in a structured work environment

• Working knowledge of Active Directory, including account administration and access updates

• Experience setting up new users, including account creation and workstation preparation

• Ability to diagnose and resolve common desktop, login, and application issues

• Strong communication skills with the ability to assist users clearly and effectively

• Organized approach to managing support requests and documenting completed work
