Job description

As the Strategic Account Director - Refinish Automotive, you will be responsible for strategic customer relationships in the collision repair industry. You will increase revenue and wallet-share, long-term partnerships, and customer satisfaction while leading complex, enterprise-level engagements across PPG's premium coatings and solutions portfolio. You will report to the USCA Collision General Manager.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop strategic account plans to drive revenue, market share, and customer loyalty
  • Lead enterprise-level negotiations covering pricing, service levels, and long-term agreements
  • Expand share of wallet through cross-selling, new locations, and service offerings
  • Be the primary executive interface for strategic accounts, including MSOs, distributors, and OEM-certified repair facilities
  • Conduct executive business reviews and coordinate executive-to-executive engagement
  • Represent PPG at industry events and high-level customer meetings
  • Build long-term partnerships that extend beyond traditional supplier relationships
  • Lead joint business planning, innovation plans, and co-development programs
  • Embed PPG solutions into customer operations, growth strategies, and performance improvement initiatives
  • Lead and align account teams (Sales, Marketing, S&T, Operations, Customer Service)
  • Orchestrate complex, multi-business-unit solutions and ensure seamless execution
  • Partner with Zone Directors and regional leadership to ensure account coverage
  • Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer business models
  • Provide strategic account insights to support segment strategy, product development, and go-to-market programs
  • Support new product launches within strategic accounts
  • Maintain strategic account plans and performance tracking in Salesforce
  • Establish structured operating cadence, KPIs, and executive reporting
  • Ensure compliance with PPG policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:
  • 12+ years of progressive strategic account management or business development experience in automotive aftermarket, coatings, or related B2B industries
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience managing enterprise accounts with $50MM+ annual revenue
  • Expertise in the collision repair industry, including MSO models and operational dynamics
  • Travel up to 75%
