Job Description:

TD Securities is seeking a highly skilled and technology proficient Vice President to join its US Wholesale Controllers group within US Finance in New York City. This role is reported directly to the Director, Finance.

The successful candidate will manage the preparation and consolidation of the monthly close, review entries and reconciliations and non-broker-dealer entities and ensure compliance with US GAAP and IFRS standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee monthly consolidation, including elimination entries, equity rolls, and all aspects of US and Non-US financial reporting.

  • Review and analyze documentation of monthly accounting entries in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS.

  • Assist with external and internal audit requests, including reconciliations, document organization, and inquiry responses.

  • Improve data accuracy and support data-driven decision-making.

  • Maintain strong internal controls and keep process documentation current.

  • Perform special projects and ad hoc management reporting as required.

  • Support strategic and tactical projects

  • Assist in new product implementation and entity rationalization.

  • Manage chart of accounts and mapping.

  • Prepare and assist with quarterly/annual disclosures and other reporting obligations under US GAAP and IFRS.

  • Ensure adherence to account reconciliation and attestation policies; liaise with Operations & Reconciliation Control teams to resolve issues.

  • Organize and support finance remediation projects for continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting (Master's a plus); CPA or CPA candidate preferred.

  • 8+ years post-undergraduate experience in public accounting and/or financial services.

  • Big 4 public accounting experience a plus.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, US GAAP, and IFRS.

  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley controls and compliance requirements.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and automation tools (Power BI, Alteryx, Power Query, pivot tables, advanced formulas).

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines.
