A Urology Part Time job involves diagnosing and treating disorders related to the urinary tract and male reproductive system, but on a reduced or flexible schedule. Part-time urologists may work in hospitals, clinics, or private practices, often seeing fewer patients per week compared to full-time roles. Responsibilities can include consultations, minor procedures, follow-up care, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals. This role is ideal for physicians seeking work-life balance or phased retirement while maintaining clinical practice.

What skills and qualifications are needed to work as a part-time urologist?

To thrive as a part-time urology professional, you need a solid background in medical knowledge, patient assessment, and specialized urologic procedures, typically supported by a medical degree and board certification in urology. Job description

Urologist - Spokane Urology
Spokane, Washington
About Us
Spokane Urology is the largest and longest-standing urology practice in Spokane and Spokane Valley, serving patients across the Inland Northwest since 1968. Our team of board-certified urologists and urologic oncologists is committed to thorough patient education, compassionate care, and delivering the full spectrum of advanced urologic treatment options. As a member of Urology Alliance (UA), Spokane Urology is supported by a physician-led national network focused on patient-centered excellence, enabling our physicians to maintain local autonomy while benefiting from robust organizational and business infrastructure.
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Urologist to join our growing practice in Spokane, WA. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who values clinical autonomy, practice growth, and the ability to build a long-term career in a high-volume, collegial private practice setting. We offer various employment models that suits the individual needs of the physician including part-time, employed, and partnership track with the opportunity to help care for a diverse urologic population across the region.
Practice Model
Spokane Urology combines the advantages of a mature, high-performing community practice with the support of a national network. Physicians enjoy a collaborative culture, access to modern outpatient surgery and clinic facilities, and a patient base that supports both general urology and subspecialty care. Clinic hours are structured to promote work-life balance, with Monday-Friday availability and shared call coverage.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive outpatient and procedural urologic care for adult men and women.
  • Diagnose and treat a broad case mix, including BPH, kidney stones, incontinence, overactive bladder, men's health, and urologic oncology.
  • Perform office-based and operative procedures using state-of-the-art diagnostics and minimally invasive therapies.
  • Collaborate with urologic oncologists and other physicians to determine the most appropriate treatment plan for each patient.
  • Participate in shared call coverage and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.

Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Urology.
  • Eligible for medical licensure in Washington state.
  • Strong clinical skills in general urology and a commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Excellent communication, professionalism, and a team-oriented mindset.

What We Offer
  • Various employment statuses including Part-time, employed, or employed with partnership track.
  • Local autonomy with the support of national resources through Urology Alliance.
  • Generous financial package, including signing bonus, relocation assistance, and annual CME support based on employment status.
  • Strong referral base and high clinical volume in a well-established market.
  • Supportive, collaborative team culture with a focus on patient education and best-in-class care.
  • Access to a desirable Pacific Northwest lifestyle with excellent outdoor recreation, family-friendly neighborhoods, and a lower cost of living than many West Coast metros.

Why Spokane
Spokane offers the feel of a vibrant smaller city with the amenities of a much larger metro. Physicians and families enjoy four-season outdoor recreation, great schools, a lively downtown, and convenient access through Spokane International Airport. It's an ideal location for a physician seeking a long-term home, professional growth, and a strong quality of life.
About Urology Alliance
Urology Alliance is a physician-led, patient-focused network designed to help strong local practices thrive while preserving their identity and clinical autonomy. Through shared resources, operational support, and best practices, UA helps physician groups invest in growth, improve patient access, and build sustainable long-term success. Spokane Urology is proud to be part of that mission.
