Description

$500K+ SWING RADIOLOGIST, ONE WEEK in THREE, ONSITE/REMOTE, RESIDENT SUPPORTED

W2 WORK WITH BENEFITS AT 50% OR MORE!

The University of Rochester offers an exceptional opportunity for an ABR certified/eligible Emergency Radiologist.

  • 6p-3a Eastern

  • Onsite or remote, full or part time

  • Acute radiology including stroke and trauma. No procedures. No OB US.

  • One week on, two weeks off (full time)

Benefits:

  • 2025-26 Base salary $475K-$515K experience and rank dependent

  • Additional group and individual incentives - typically an additional $50K

  • Optional internal "moonlighting": case or shift based

  • $25K Retention bonus with 3-year commitment

  • As a non-profit, service may qualify for federal loan forgiveness programs

  • Part time compensation pro-rated proportionately (1 week in 6 = 50%)

Practice Support:

  • 24/7 Internal Communication desk to place and receive provider calls

  • Subspecialty Radiologists available day and evening for consultation

  • Candidates transitioning from more specialized practices are supported.

We are developing an evening and swing acute radiology team. The Swing team overlaps with specialized evening faculty until 10 PM, then with Overnight acute faculty after 10 PM. We supervise residents as well as read independently. We cover acute imaging for our University and Community network. Our present practice environment is EPIC/Sectra/Powerscribe. Overflow volume rolls over to the morning teams. Resident support and our communication center minimize interruptions. Our expectation is to read accurately within our skill sets, teach our residents, and end shifts on time.

Career development resources include Departmental (mentorship, sponsorship and educational opportunities) as well as University (including offerings from the schools of Management and Education). Research is optional. The career needs of remote faculty are further supported by dual appointment to our Remote Division as well as to the Emergency Radiology Division.

If you work on site- you will find that the Rochester area has affordable housing, excellent public schools and short commutes. There are extensive cultural opportunities including Museums and theatre. The Finger Lakes region of New York is famous for its outdoor participatory activities.
