Drivability Line Technician Job Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair drivability issues including engine performance, emissions, fuel systems, and electronic controls on GM vehicles
  • Utilize advanced OEM diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot complex vehicle systems
  • Perform thorough vehicle inspections and provide clear repair recommendations
  • Collaborate with service advisors to communicate findings, repair options, and timelines
  • Keep current with GM technical bulletins, service updates, and factory training programs
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with all safety standards
  • Document all work accurately to support service records and warranty requirements

Drivability Line Technician Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range: $50.00 to $60.00 flat rate per hour, with up to 125 billable hours guaranteed per pay period.

Drivability Line Technicians Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience specializing in drivability diagnostics and repairs on GM vehicles or similar makes
  • GM drivability certifications or equivalent technical training preferred
  • Proficient in using OEM diagnostic tools, scan equipment, and software to troubleshoot engine, emissions, fuel, and electronic control systems
  • Strong understanding of engine management systems, fuel injection, ignition, and emission control systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to accurately diagnose complex drivability issues
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with service advisors, team members, and customers
  • Commitment to ongoing training and professional development to stay current with evolving GM technologies

Corporate requirements: Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license and clean driving record, able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.
