JOB SUMMARY:

Supports all areas of work processes by assisting leads and artists, and technicians in a variety of work classifications. Utilizing specialty tools, equipment and chemicals and support Preventative Maintenance (PM) and housekeeping schedules. Prepping of workspaces, surfaces, consisting of cleaning, scraping, waxing, and sanding.ย  Assists as needed with base painting and specialty cleaning. Often operates hand tools, pressure washers, ladders, forklift, high reach, trucks, golf carts and other heavy equipment to move materials.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support of maintenance and upkeep of assets utilizing specialty tools, equipment and chemicals and support Preventative Maintenance (PM) schedules, including assisting with assembly and disassembly of Assets as directed by qualified technicians, waxing, corrosion mitigation, leak mitigation, specialty cleaning, and fire watch.ย 
  • Support general business operations by keeping assigned 5S areasย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  neat and organized. Contribute to the overall cleanliness of shop areas by assisting others with organization while keeping tools and vehicles well maintained.
  • Request materials or tools and maintain consumable stock and PPE to appropriate levels for the shop. Communicate with Leads and Planners to ensure follow-up and delivery of materials.
  • Document work activities using computer maintenance management system software and log sheets.ย 
  • Help to transport and deliver items to our fellow TMs, customers and support partners as required.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:ย 

  • High school degree or GED is required.
  • Trade School / Associate Degree is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:ย 

  • 1+ year set/prop fabrication and maintenance, mechanics, or general shop work and cleaning is preferred.
  • Experience with tools and small equipment preferred.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.ย 

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Valid Florida State Driver's License required to operate company vehicles.
