Here You Will:

The Manager, Business Strategy, Universal Entertainment is a unique role at the center of Universal Entertainmentโ€™s strategy, working directly with Senior leadership across the portfolio. This person will be a part of a high-impact team that develops insights and recommendations that inform competitive positioning and critical decisions across portfolio strategy.

The role reports to the VP, Business Strategy, Office of the Chairman and has a dotted line to the VP, Universal Television Entertainment Strategy. This role offers direct exposure to senior leadership across the organization with the opportunity to build direct relationships with key execs across NBCU. Weโ€™re looking for a collaborative thought partner with a keen understanding of industry trends who thrives in a fast-paced, analytical environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Create executive strategy presentations that clearly lay out analysis, findings, and strategic recommendations
  • Oversee projects & analyses that require input from key stakeholders across business unitsย 
  • Prepare background & presentation materials for meetings and manage associated follow-ups
  • Manage projects at a high-level and track timelines and context for meetings
  • Distill complex industry dynamics into clear insights that inform leadership decisions
  • Perform strategic analysis on competitors and markets to identify and evaluate new opportunities
  • Serve as a thought partner to senior leadership on high-priority strategic questions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with members of other business units and handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism & discretion

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in top-tier consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy or equivalent experience strongly preferred
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to author/ deliver presentations
  • Experience working effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • High degree of professionalism while interacting with senior management
  • Superior strategic acumen and analytical skills
  • Proven project management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines

Desired Characteristics:

  • A strong understanding of the film and TV industry and/or broader media industry and business models
  • Ability to interface effectively with multiple levels of management, ranging from senior corporate executives to business unit managers
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with a proactive work-style
  • Ability to think about bigger picture strategic vision and day-to-day details

Additional Requirements:
