Summary:
Not many roles support the financial backbone of a company that helps make air travel safer and more reliable but at Universal Avionics, you can. As an Accountant I, you will support core accounting operations, including reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, customer invoicing, and fixed asset accounting. You will also assist with audits, ensure accurate financial reporting, and provide backup support for accounts receivable and accounts payable functions to maintain continuity of operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepares and issues daily sales invoices, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with revenue recognition requirements.
  • Maintains fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, and depreciation.
  • Performs account reconciliations on a daily and/or monthly basis.
  • Prepares and records monthly journal entries as part of the month-end close process.
  • Supports financial statement audits and related requests.
  • Provides coverage for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions as needed to ensure continuity of operations during staff absences.
  • Assists the Assistant Controller with other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
BA/BS in Finance, Business or Accounting or 2-3 years of progressive accounting responsibilities including some time in accounts payable, accounts receivable.
