The Software Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications across the entire technology stack. You will work on both front-end and back-end components, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in modern web technologies, a passion for problem-solving, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment. We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented full stack software developer to join our team.
As a valuable part of the technology delivery team, you will be able to make a tangible impact on business to turn problems into solutions we can all be proud of. This role will contribute to coding, testing, debugging, and deploying scalable solutions while learning best practices and improving your technical expertise. This position offers opportunities to work on diverse projects, gain exposure to cloud platforms, and grow into advanced development responsibilities. We are open to someone working out of our Green Bay or Appleton, WI offices for this role.
As a Software Developer, you will:
  • Design, develop, and thoroughly test production ready code to solve business problems.
  • Create technical documentation to guide technology team members and other developers through your work.
  • Identify areas for modification as well as maintaining and upgrading current code.
  • Collaborate closely with the Nicolet technology teams, third parties, and subject matter experts.
  • Learn existing and new technologies as the needs present themselves to help drive automation.
  • Uphold Nicolet's philosophy and policies by maintaining appropriate controls to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, thereby fulfilling legal responsibilities and enhancing the quality of services provided by Nicolet.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years prior work experience as a software developer required.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without limitation.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
  • A desire to work within a fast-paced, collaborative, and team-based support environment.
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle (design, implementation, testing, deployment).
  • Experience working on complex business system integrations.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming and design patterns.
  • Experience with core web technologies (HTML, Javascript, HTTP, HTTPS, etc.).
  • Experience with relational databases and relational data models.
  • Must be able to work fully in-office.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Financial Services industry and Agile development experience preferred.
  • Direct experience working on a SaaS platform for middle market and enterprise size companies; e.g. ServiceNow.
  • Experience with a Configuration Management Database and the Common Service Data Model.
  • Experience with REST integrations.
  • Experience scripting with JavaScript and AngularJS.
  • Knowledge in Agile development using Jira and/or Azure DevOps.
