Job description

Flex Security Officer ALL SHIFTS

Flex Security Officer – Select Shifts

United Protective Services is seeking dependable, professional, and flexible Security Officers to join our team as Flex Officers. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a dynamic environment and are available to work a variety of shifts, locations, and assignments as operational needs arise.

As a Flex Officer, you will provide security services across multiple client sites and industries while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, customer service, and safety. Officers must be adaptable, reliable, and capable of responding to staffing needs on short notice.

Schedule
  • Must have open availability for one or more of the following; Days, Evenings, Overnights, and Weekends.
  • Available for assignment up to 6 days per week
  • One guaranteed day off each week (Monday–Thursday)
  • Schedule will vary based on client and operational needs
Pay

Starting at $17.00/hour (based on experience)

Responsibilities
  • Respond to open shift coverage requests as directed by management.
  • Provide security services in accordance with client post orders and company policies.
  • Maintain a visible security presence and remain alert to all activity within assigned areas.
  • Build positive working relationships with clients, visitors, local law enforcement, and emergency responders.
  • Observe, report, and document suspicious activity, safety concerns, and policy violations.
  • Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation accurately and timely.
  • Assist clients with security-related needs and customer service requests.
  • Support site operations by maintaining a safe, secure, and professional environment.
  • Participate in the training and mentoring of newly assigned officers when directed by management.
  • Ensure all company-issued equipment is properly maintained and accounted for.
  • Make sound decisions regarding safety and security matters in accordance with post orders and company expectations.

Requirements
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between assignments as needed.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and responsive to scheduling needs.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as required.
