clients in the Mid-Atlantic region. With a strong reputation for integrity, responsiveness, and operational excellence, MDPS is expanding and seeking qualified/experienced DCJS Protective Services Officers (PSO) to join our team.

Job Description:

We are seeking highly motivated professional Protective Services Officers to join our

team in the Northern Virginia area. Officers will be responsible for ensuring the safety

and security of assigned sites, staff and customers. In this role, you will provide a

visible presence in retail stores, assist with safety concerns, deter theft, and support

loss prevention efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a visible and professional security presence at all times
  • Respond to alarms, disturbances, and incidents in a professional and timely manner
  • Document clear and accurate incident and activity reports
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, fellow team members and law enforcement when needed

Requirements:

  • Active Virginia DCJS Registration โ€“ REQUIRED (No Exceptions)
  • 2+ years of armed security experienceโ€“ REQUIRED (No Exceptions)
  • Minimum 24 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong de-escalation skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
  • Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred but not required

Applicants without an active Virginia DCJS will NOT be considered.
