Job description

Duties Description The Office of Crime Analysis and Strategic Partnerships (OCASP) is seeking multiple student assistants for the Niagara Intelligence & Crime Analysis Center. The handling of these tasks will help the student gain professional skills while assisting OCASP with special projects.
The student assistant in OCASP_NICAC will assist with duties including, but not limited to:
• Training on report reviews for our 19 partner agencies.
• Creating daily intelligence bulletins, pattern bulletins, tracking gun crime, and constructing Gun Violence (GIVE) presentations.
• Assist in building COMPSTAT briefings for the Niagara Falls Police Department.
• Significant research on several project requests.
Minimum Qualifications Must be a current student enrolled in a matriculating degree program and have completed a minimum of one (1) year as a student at a degree-granting two or four-year college or university.
Preferred Qualifications: The preferred candidate(s) would possess basic crime analysis, writing and research skills, and basic understanding of MS Excel.
