At Cedar View Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, we believe that strong clinical leadership at the unit level is essential to delivering safe, consistent, and high-quality resident care. Guided by our core values of Passion, Respect, and Excellence, the Unit Manager oversees nursing operations on an assigned unit and ensures residents receive comprehensive, person-centered care.
Responsibilities for Unit Manager:
  • Assume full responsibility and accountability for resident care on the assigned nursing unit.
  • Oversee and coordinate resident care to promote the highest possible level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning.
  • Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting, with appropriate follow-up and communication to the Administrator and the Director of Nursing.
  • Participate in facility committees and programs as directed by the Director of Nursing.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures based on identified clinical and operational needs.
  • Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff on the unit.
  • Monitor compliance with care plans, regulations, and quality standards to ensure optimal resident outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident-centered care and continuous improvement.

Qualifications for Unit Manager:
  • Must possess a current, unencumbered active license to practice as an LPN or RN in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
  • A nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a nursing care center, hospital, or other healthcare setting required.
